Core Online Training Courses
We have developed our most popular courses as half-day online training sessions via Zoom. These have been increasingly successful in the context of Covid-19.
They normally last three hours but we have built in plenty of brain and tea breaks prevent Zoom fatigue. We make the courses are as participative as possible, using a combination of presentations, videos, polls, written ‘chats’ and breakout rooms. The courses can also be delivered over a couple of bite-size sessions.
These training sessions include:
How to Win Friends and Influence (the Right) People – community empowerment, active participation and making sure communities have a voice
Engaging with Excluded Groups – understanding barriers and learning how to involve people who can feel ‘harder to reach’ using good practice tools
Community Development and Capacity Building Principles – learn about community learning and development principles and approaches, including adult learning, youth work and community capacity building to build stronger, more resilient and inclusive communities
Planning for Success – learn how to create a ‘roadmap’ for your organisation, helping you organise your work, track progress, set the foundations for funding applications, and communicate your plans with others
Making Successful Funding Applications – put yourself in front of the crowd, learning how to structure funding applications effectively and make a good case to funders
Get in touch with us for more info, to book a course for your organisation or to find out when the next course is running so you can book on as an individual.

WHAT PEOPLE SAY
“Sleeping Giants are our go-to people for all things organisational development and we have particularly welcomed their input at our annual trustee development events as we continually work towards high standards of governance. Rebecca brings a wealth of knowledge and a warm non-prescriptive delivery style that enables participants to safely enquire, encourages respectful debate and fosters empowerment.”
"It was interesting and the trainers engaged with the participants in meaningful ways, for example they linked the training directly to how it might benefit specific parts of individual organisations. In essence the made the training relevant”
